Ingredients
Method
- Gather Ingredients: Start by collecting all your ingredients—sugar, water, amaretto liqueur, and vanilla extract.
- Mix and Heat: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of water.
- Cook the syrup: Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Bring it to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 3–5 minutes.
- Add Flavors: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in 1/2 cup of amaretto liqueur and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
- Cool and Store: Allow the syrup to cool before transferring it to an airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator.
Notes
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to suit your taste.
