Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Gather Ingredients: Start by collecting all your ingredients—sugar, water, amaretto liqueur, and vanilla extract.
  • Mix and Heat: In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of water.
  • Cook the syrup: Heat the mixture over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Bring it to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 3–5 minutes.
  • Add Flavors: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in 1/2 cup of amaretto liqueur and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
  • Cool and Store: Allow the syrup to cool before transferring it to an airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to suit your taste.
For a richer flavor, consider using pure almond extract along with amaretto liqueur.
Shake the container gently before each use to ensure all ingredients are well mixed.
