Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold brewed coffee or 1 shot of espresso + 3/4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 2 tablespoons almond butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup ice
  • Optional: 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Method

Prepare your ingredients.
  1. Use a frozen banana for the creamiest texture. Make sure your coffee is cold.
Add everything to a blender.
  1. Pour in the cold brew coffee and almond milk first, then add the frozen banana, almond butter, cinnamon, and ice.
Add protein powder (optional).
  1. If you want extra protein, add one scoop of your favorite vanilla protein powder.
Blend until smooth.
  1. Blend on high speed for about 60 seconds until the texture is creamy and everything is fully mixed.
Adjust if needed.
  1. If it’s too thick, add a little more almond milk. If it’s too thin, add more ice or banana.
Serve and enjoy!
  1. Pour into a tall glass and drink fresh. Optional: sprinkle a little cinnamon on top.

Notes

  • Frozen banana is the secret to that creamy texture. Don't skip it!
  • You can swap almond butter for peanut butter or cashew butter if needed.
  • Want it sweeter? Add ½ tsp maple syrup or a date.
  • For more texture, add chia seeds, hemp seeds, or oats.
