Ingredients
  

  • 1 shot espresso or 2 tbsp instant coffee brewed with 8 oz hot water
  • 1/2 cup whole milk or almond/oat milk
  • 1 tsp bourbon vanilla extract or 1 tsp vanilla syrup
  • 1 tsp brown sugar optional, to taste
  • Cinnamon or vanilla bean scrapings for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Brew your espresso or coffee.
  • In a saucepan, warm the milk until hot (but not boiling).
  • Whisk in the bourbon vanilla extract and sweetener until frothy.
  • Combine the coffee and milk mixture, then pour into a mug.
  • Garnish with cinnamon or vanilla bean scraps.

Notes

You can substitute oat milk for a dairy-free option. Leftover vanilla syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to a week. For a different flavor, try adjusting the sweetness with honey, maple syrup, or stevia.
