Ingredients
  

  • 2 shots of espresso or 1/4-1/3 cup of very strong freshly brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup of oat milk preferably a barista blend
  • 1-2 tsp of agave nectar or cane sugar or maple syrup as a substitute
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
Brown Sugar Syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar-free maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Optional: vanilla extract for added flavor

Method
 

Make the Brown Sugar Syrup:
  1. In a saucepan, mix 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 cup sugar-free maple syrup, and 1/2 cup water. Optional: Add a dash of vanilla extract.
  2. Bring to a boil, then simmer until the mixture thickens. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Prepare the Espresso:
  1. Brew 2 shots of espresso or make strong coffee using a stovetop espresso maker or French press. Aim for a rich, creamy espresso texture.
Mix the Drink:
  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the espresso, 1-2 tsp brown sugar syrup (depending on desired sweetness), and 1/2 cup oat milk.
  2. Add ground cinnamon, ground turmeric, and ground cardamom.
Shake:
  1. Fill the shaker with ice, shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds until frothy.
Serve:
  1. Strain into a glass, sprinkle with additional cinnamon if desired, and enjoy!

Notes

  • For the milkiest texture, use full-fat oat milk.
  • Feel free to substitute with different non-dairy milks like almond, soy, or coconut.
  • Adjust the sweetness and spice levels according to personal preference.
