Ingredients
Method
- Heat the Milk & Tea: In a saucepan, heat the milk and heavy cream over medium heat until it’s warm but not boiling. Add the loose-leaf black tea (or tea bags) and let it steep for about 5 minutes.
- Strain & Sweeten: Remove the tea leaves (or tea bags) and add vanilla extract, honey, and cinnamon. Stir well.
- Melt the Chocolate: In a separate bowl, melt the dark and milk chocolate chips using a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Combine & Serve: Slowly pour the melted chocolate into the tea mixture, whisking continuously until fully blended. Add a pinch of salt for balance.
- Garnish & Enjoy: Pour into a mug and optionally top with whipped cream, a dusting of cocoa powder, or extra cinnamon.
Notes
Experiment with different teas like chai masala or Earl Grey for a unique twist. For a dairy-free version, use almond or oat milk and dairy-free chocolate. Add a dash of nutmeg or cardamom for a deeper spice profile.
