Ingredients
  

  • 2 servings of brewed espresso 1/4 cup
  • 2 cups of milk unsweetened almond milk works great
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 drops of mint extract
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream optional

Method
 

  1. Brew your espresso.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the milk, cocoa powder, and sugar. Warm on low heat, stirring until the sugar and cocoa dissolve completely.
  3. Add the brewed espresso to the saucepan and stir well.
  4. Drop in the mint extract, mixing thoroughly to achieve a well-balanced flavor.
  5. Allow the mixture to simmer for 2-3 minutes, keeping an eye on it to avoid boiling.
  6. Pour the drink into mugs, and optionally top with whipped cream for added richness.
  7. Enjoy immediately, or store any leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days. You can even freeze it for 1-2 months!

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use unsweetened almond milk as suggested. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste. For an extra indulgent treat, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder.
