  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1.5 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup softened unsalted butter
  • Fresh coffee beans
  • Vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream optional
  • Cinnamon sticks optional

Method
 

Prepare the Cinnamon Syrup:
  1. Mix cinnamon sticks, sugar, and water in a saucepan.
  2. Heat until the sugar dissolves, then cool and strain to remove cinnamon sticks.
Brew the Espresso:
  1. Use fresh coffee beans and a top-notch espresso machine.
  2. Grind beans just before brewing for optimal flavor.
Steam and Froth the Milk:
  1. Use whole milk and froth until creamy.
  2. Add a bit of vanilla extract and brown sugar for extra flavor.
Assemble the Cappuccino:
  1. Brew a shot of espresso.
  2. Add the cinnamon syrup to the steamed milk.
  3. Combine the espresso and milk mixture.
  4. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.

Notes

For a non-dairy version, substitute whole milk with almond, soy, or oat milk. Experiment with spices like nutmeg or cardamom for a unique twist. Store leftover cinnamon syrup in the fridge for up to two weeks.
