Method
- In a saucepan, combine gingerbread spice, sugar, and water, then heat over medium until the sugar dissolves. Let it cool before using.
- Brew a cup of your favorite coffee, ensuring it's strong enough to balance the sweetness of the syrup.
- In a mug, combine the gingerbread syrup, brewed coffee, and milk. Stir to mix well.
- In a bowl, whip heavy cream, sugar, and gingerbread spice until stiff peaks form.
- Spoon the whipped cream on top of the coffee and optionally garnish with a light dusting of gingerbread spice or cinnamon.
Notes
For a dairy-free version, use almond or oat milk for the latte and coconut cream for the whipped topping. Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to the whipped cream. To make this drink even more festive, sprinkle extra cinnamon or nutmeg on top for a seasonal touch.
