  • 2 cups of milk whole milk or dairy alternative
  • 1 tablespoon of hazelnut syrup
  • 1 tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Method
 

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, hazelnut syrup, cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the mixture is hot and frothy (about 8–10 minutes).
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and let the brew cool slightly.
  4. Pour into mugs and serve immediately.
  5. Garnish with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or chopped hazelnuts for an extra festive touch.

Notes

Use almond or oat milk for a dairy-free version. For a deeper chocolate flavor, add an extra teaspoon of cocoa powder. Try topping with a drizzle of hazelnut syrup for extra sweetness.
