Method
- Boil Water: Bring 1 cup of water to a boil and allow it to cool for a minute or two.
- Steep the Green Tea: Add the loose-leaf green tea to the water and steep for 2-3 minutes.
- Add Lemon and Basil: Slice 1/2 a lemon and add it, along with the fresh basil leaves, to the tea. Let it infuse for another minute.
- Strain and Sweeten: Strain the tea into a cup and add honey or sugar to taste (optional).
- Serve: Enjoy your freshly brewed Lemon Basil Green Tea hot or chilled.
Notes
For extra zest, add a splash of fresh lemon juice or a sprig of mint for a refreshing twist. If you prefer iced tea, allow the tea to cool and serve it over ice. Adjust the sweetness to your liking with honey or sugar.
