  • Sugar optional

  1. Gather Your Equipment:
  2. Greca (stovetop espresso pot)
  3. Coffee grinder
  4. Prepare the Coffee Grounds:
  5. Grind the coffee beans to a medium-fine consistency.
  6. Fill the Greca:
  7. Add filtered water to the bottom chamber of the greca up to the valve.
  8. Add coffee grounds:
  9. Fill the filter basket with the ground coffee and level it off without pressing down.
  10. Assemble and Heat:
  11. Assemble the greca and place it on medium heat.
  12. Brew the coffee:
  13. Wait until you hear a hissing sound, indicating the coffee is done brewing.
  14. Serve:
  15. Pour the brewed coffee into a warm cup.
  16. Add sugar and milk or cream to taste, if desired.
